Attention all BSA parents and teenagers (14+)
The Bellefonte Soccer Association is always looking to create more depth with our referees. Refereeing is a great way to have fun and EARN SOME EXTRA MONEY! If you are interesting in becoming a PA West referee for our games, register for an official clinic at http://www.pawest-referee.org/resources/clinics/.
Complete the three steps below at least one week prior to the clinic date.
- Register and pay for a 1-day Grade 8 referee clinic of your choice. For a list of clinic dates/times, visit http://www.pawest-referee.org/calendar/.
- Review the video clips concerning the Laws of the Game.
- Successfully complete the online pre-test.
A passing score of 75% on the certification test is required. The test is given at the end of the 1-day clinic.
Bellefonte Soccer is offering technical training sessions for children in the U8 – U14 age groups. These sessions will be conducted by Blair Richards, Coach Coordinator.
Dates: First session is Saturday, 2/2/13, and will continue every Saturday for 6 weeks from 2 – 3pm. The dates are 2/2, 2/16, 2/23, 3/2, 3/9, 3/16.
Location: Bellefonte YMCA
Cost: $30 per player

Donations to benefit the Mack Brady Memorial Soccer Scholarship

- Holuba Hall, University Park Campus
Children aged 6-12 are invited to join Penn State’s Men’s and Women’s soccer teams and coaches for a special clinic to honor Mack Brady. The event is free but donations are encouraged and will support the Mack Brady Memorial Soccer Scholarship which will benefit a Penn State Men’s soccer player.
To participate, complete and bring a registration form to the clinic.

Registration for the 2013 Winter Indoor Season is now open. All registrations must be postmarked by December 1, 2012. No exceptions.

Use this table of birth dates to determine which age category is appropriate for your child:

Play-ups to the next age bracket will no longer be allowed in the inhouse/recreational league unless the child’s birthday falls within the month of August. This rule is to help keep players with their true peers and classmates.
Board meetings are OPEN to all soccer families. November’s meeting is especially important as ELECTIONS will be held for the Board of Directors. Nominations are accepted from the floor. You must be in attendance to vote.

On Thursday, Octber 25th @ 5:30pm the Bellefonte High School Girls’ soccer team will play host to Juniata High School in the opening round of the district 6 playoffs at Rogers Stadium. The girls’ team has earned a second place seeding for the tournament.
Following the girls’ match on Thursday, the Bellefonte High School Boys’ soccer team will also play host to Juniata @ 7:30pm in Rogers Stadium. The boys’ team has earned a number one seed for the tournament.
Entry to the evening’s games is $6 per adult and $3 per student. Due to this being a PIAA playoff event, school passes will not be accepted.
If either of the Bellefonte High School soccer teams win on Thursday they will play host the following Tuesday.
Please come out and support the high school soccer teams to victory. Your support is appreciated!

BSA Youth Soccer Day at Penn State is Sunday, October 14. The PSU Men’s Game time is 3pm. Teams can attend this FREE event together and should wear their team jersey. For details, contact the coach of your child’s team.
