November Board Meeting and Elections

Board meetings are OPEN to all soccer families.  November’s meeting is especially important as ELECTIONS will be held for the Board of Directors.  Nominations are accepted from the floor.  You must be in attendance to vote.

Location:  Bellefonte Middle School Cafeteria, 100 North School Street.

Support Bellefonte HS Soccer in District Playoffs!

On Thursday, Octber 25th @ 5:30pm the Bellefonte High School Girls’ soccer team will play host to Juniata High School in the opening round of the district 6 playoffs at Rogers Stadium.  The girls’ team has earned a second place seeding for the tournament.

Following the girls’ match on Thursday, the Bellefonte High School Boys’ soccer team will also play host to Juniata @ 7:30pm in Rogers Stadium.  The boys’ team has earned a number one seed for the tournament.

Entry to the evening’s games is $6 per adult and $3 per student.  Due to this being a PIAA playoff event, school passes will not be accepted.

If either of the Bellefonte High School soccer teams win on Thursday they will play host the following Tuesday.

Please come out and support the high school soccer teams to victory.  Your support is appreciated!

Fundraiser Top Sellers!

Congratulations to the top sellers of our Gardners Candy Bar Fundraiser!

1st Place – Zachary Flory (U6)

He sold 6 boxes (192 candy bars)!  He will receive a $30 gift certificate to Pure Imagination Toys in Bellefonte.

2nd Place – Madison Steiner (U12 Girls Travel)

She sold 5 boxes (160 candy bars)!  She will receive a $20 gift certificate.

Thanks to everyone who participated in this fundraiser!  It was a big success!

BSA Youth Soccer Day at Penn State

BSA Youth Soccer Day at Penn State is Sunday, October 14.  The PSU Men’s Game time is 3pm.  Teams can attend this FREE event together and should wear their team jersey.  For details, contact the coach of your child’s team.

Help needed to build storage shed

Volunteers are needed to help finish construction of our storage shed.  If you can assist please contact Robert Henry at 814.280.1070.  He and a few other volunteers will meet at Governors Park on Monday, 9/24/12, at 5:15pm.

Assistance Needed!

We need volunteers to help build a storage shed for league equipment!  Construction and use of this shed will save BSA $1000/year in storage costs.  If you’re available to help on Saturday, 9/22/12, please contact Robert Henry at 814-280-1070.

Fundraiser Due Date

Fundraiser money is due the week of September 23, 2012.  Please turn in a check for the amount owed to the coach of your child’s team; 1 box = $32.00, 2 boxes = $64, etc.  Make checks payable to Bellefonte Soccer Association.  If you have any questions contact Laine Seible (Fundraiser Coordinator) at teamseibel@embarqmail.com or 814.470.0376.

Fall Pictures

ALL players should attend picture day even if not purchasing individual photos.  Coaches and many players like to have a complete team picture.

Coaches will receive team t-shirts and picture order forms on Friday night, 9/7/12.  These will be distributed to each team Saturday morning just before your team’s scheduled picture time.

Please be ON TIME!  It will back up everyone if one player is late.  Be respectful of the photographers and listen to what they want you to do get the best picture.  Please direct questions to Katina Pacella at 814-441-7207 or dppkrp@verizon.net.

Candy Bar Fundraiser Distribution

Laine Seibel will distribute the Gardner’s candy bars per the schedule below.  As a reminder, any parent who does not wish to participate may write a check for $32.00 made out to BSA and give it to Laine at their team’s designated candy distribution time.  If you are not able to make your team’s scheduled time, you may come to one of the other distribution times.  Please contact Laine at teamseibel@embarqmail.com to let her know.
