Our Recreational program is designed to teach players the game of soccer in a fun, safe environment. This program is for players of all ability levels aged u7 and up. The focus of this program is on having fun, being active and developing the fundamental skills of the game. Teams are co-ed and play against other BSA teams as well as teams from neighboring soccer clubs (Centre Soccer, Bald Eagle Soccer, Penns Valley, etc). Referees are used during games, but no scores are kept. Recreational games are played on Saturdays in the Spring and Fall seasons. Guidelines state that every player will play at least half of the game, and our coaches do their best to ensure equal playing time.

Spring season typically begins in early April (depending on when Easter falls) and runs through early June. No games are played on Easter weekend, and no games are played during the Memorial Day weekend. Fall season begins the weekend after Labor Day and runs through late October or early November. Practices typically start a couple of weeks prior to the first game, depending on weather and field conditions.

Our Recreational teams practice two nights a week. The length of practice varies by age.
